Use This Exercise:


  1. To change automatic, everyday attitudes, behaviors, ways of speaking, your posture, and other ways you express yourself that are habitual, that you usually don't notice, and that therefore seem impossible to alter.
  2. To change habits of consciousness--such as your level of mindfulness, relaxation, optimism, or personal power--that seem out of reach because they are hard to differentiate as discrete actions.
  3. To fine-tune and manage the underlying causes of success or failure that you often overlook because they fall into the realm of who you BE rather than dwelling in the realm of what you DO.
